Martini anyone?

The airtime equivalent of Martini – any carrier, any amount, anytime, anywhere – is now a reality in Kenya, as Paystream successfully launches its new market leading proposition to merchants.

This provides merchants with ultimate inventory management – they just order a monetary amount, and we manage their inventory for them to ensure any customer of theirs can buy the airtime they want, for the amount they need, from their preferred carrier, at point of sale.

Customers therefore enjoy greater security and convenience. No more tied agents – Paystream brings a solution which liberalises airtime sales, adds value to merchants, and contributes further to the yield we can earn from our terminals. Months of intensive effort to integrate and test with Safaricom, Zain, Orange and Yu, culminated recently in our first “live” transactions.

Customers can buy eVouchers or a Direct Top Up – scratch cards can now be thrown away and consigned to the obsolete pile.

Merchant feedback to date has been tremendous. This additional service, coupled with our card payment solution, already positions Paystream with a market leading proposition, as we prepare to roll-out even more value added services to merchants in the coming months.

Exciting times for Paystream in its mission to Change the Way Africa Pays!

The Business Phone - on the leading edge of business

The Business Phone is on the leading edge of business again and, moving with the times, it is engaging BritDAQ Ltd to automate our Company Secretarial work. Our share register will soon be kept by BritDAQ in electronic form; future announcements and updates to you will be by email in the first instance. This will save us a lot of money in mailing costs and share registrar services; it will also streamline our shareholder communications making them much more interactive.

For this we are going to need your email address once again. We know that some of you have already registered your details on thebusinessphone.com website (so that we have your latest details), but please take advantage of the new investor forum run by BritDAQ.

You may well find it rewarding to register with the forum. It's a place where you can get in contact with us and other shareholders to talk about our company, as well as with other private companies and their investors. You can even use it to get in touch with potential buyers and sellers of TBP shares!

Once you get to the forum, just click the ‘Register’ link in the top right of the page. To see the Business Phone section, click on the link to the “BritDAQ Marketplace”. Feel free to have a look around the rest of the forum. BritDAQ already has some other private companies up and running.

Once BritDAQ fully take over our share register, you will be able to view your portfolio of private company shares at the main BritDAQ site. This will be in place within the next couple of months; we will keep you informed and up to date about these exciting developments and all that is going on with our company.

Any shareholder wishing to invest further should call our Shareholder Helpline on 01747 858598 for an application form.

Kind regards
